Tips for cleaning your surgical Instruments:

Use only validated equipment.

Corrosive detergents should not be used to clean or disinfect instruments.

ALL Instruments should be inspected, cleaned and sterilized prior to each use.

Hinged instruments must be lubricated after cleaning, and before sterilization, and must be sterilized in open position.  

Avoid overcrowding of instruments and place heavier instruments at the bottom of the sterilizing container.

IF you use autoclaving, please follow the instructions of the equipment manufacturer, or your hospital protocol.
